EduKation demenz® stands for “Relief through the promotion of communication in dementia”. This training program was launched in 2006 by Prof. Dr. Sabine Engel at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. It offers you valuable impulses for improved communication and supports you in organizing everyday life with your parents with more ease and understanding.

This course makes it easier for you to deal with a parent affected by dementia on a daily basis with more ease and empathy. The focus is on understanding the topic of dementia with its effects and guidance on changes in their original relationship and your role beyond that. The shared experience and exchange with other participants promotes learning together, the possibilities for new ways to shape everyday life and crises in a solution-oriented and confident manner.
